First State Heritage Park
Rose Cottage 102 South State Street  Dover, Delaware 19901

The First State Heritage Park is Delaware's first urban "park without boundaries" linking historic and cultural sites in the city that has been the seat of state government since 1777. It is a partnership of Delaware's Division of Historical & Cultural Affairs with other state and city agencies under the leadership of Delaware State Parks. While the major park attractions, which include Legislative Hall, Delaware Public Archives, and the Biggs Museum to name a few, are open throughout the week, a variety of special programs and events are developed at each site for the first Saturday of each month, highlighted by tours of the Governor's House at Woodburn.
