God blesses us all with a gift or talent, mine is art. As a young boy, I spent most of my time drawing. My childhood heroes, and the subject of most of my early drawings were athletes. My first professional sporting event was a Washington Bullets basketball game. My father was a basketball fan. As I grew up, He and I went to many Washington Capitals hockey games, and made it to a few Washington Redskins football games. To me though, no other sporting event compared to a summer baseball game! He took me to game 2 of the 1983 World Series. The Orioles beat the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1 en-route to winning the series. My college life found me at The Corcoran School of Art in Washington D.C. earning my BFA. My senior show featured my Gary Carter drawing. Later in life, my Pop and I traveled to Chicago to see the Cubs at Wrigley Field, to New York to see the Mets and Yankees in final season games at Shea Stadium, and Yankee Stadium, and to Atlanta to see The Braves at Turner Field. We went to the first game ever at Nationals Park in Washington. Our favorite stadium to date is PNC Park in Pittsburgh. From my love of art and sports have come these images.
