Exploring the Arts, Food, Live Music and More this July

Summer is in full force here on Delmarva. Summer festivals, music performances, art exhibitions and, of course, the freshest food from land and sea, abounds. While a visit to our area may conjure up visions of big crowds and lots of traffic, there are plenty of off the beaten path options to get away and explore our small towns.

Here’s a roundup of July happenings and check out our itineraries to get tips on planning a visit.

Backyard BBQ

July 6th from 11am – Midnight
Blackwater Distilling & Tavern , 405 Cleat Street, Stevensville

Bring your family, friends, neighbors and loved ones for a day of drinks, food, music, games and good times. This event is a community gathering and fundraiser for the Chesapeake Bay. Music outside by the Patio by two fantastic local musicians: Trini is a hybrid of influences ranging from Classic & Modern Rock, Pop, and various other genres. Can you figure them all out? Trini will take the mic from Noon – 4pm. Our second act, Annapolis born Singer-Songwriter, Brendan Lane, skillfully blends a lively mix of Rock’n’Roll, blues, and contemporary pop elements into his music and has entertained audiences spanning three continents. Tickets are $5.

Taste of Cambridge: Crab Cook-off

July 13, 2019; 5-10pm Tickets: $30 in advance; $35 at door
Event takes place at Poplar Street and Race Street in downtown Cambridge

You be the judge! Taste, Compare, and vote for your favorite crab dishes. Tickets are required for tasting. It’s free to visit the festival and enjoy live music, vendors, crafts for kids, and festival competitions. Get there early to sign up for the kids Watermelon Eating Contest at the kid’s zone!

Heritage Shores Hall of Arts (Bridgeville)

Sunset Park Party Night

Free Swing Dance Concert at Riverwalk Amphitheater in Salisbury
