First Saturday Guided Walk

Free Concert at Riverwalk Ampitheater

The City of Salisbury and the Salisbury Arts and Entertainment District is pleased to announce a free concert to be hosted at the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater. The concert will feature The Larks – a local funk, jazz and fusion band sure to please the masses. The concert will be free, and open to the public, with beer, wine and water available for purchase outside. Bring your own lawn chair, sit on the amphitheater steps or dance the night away.

Catalpult

Catapult is a theatrical art form about the human body and its ability to transform, an imaginative combination of dance, story-telling, and sculpture. The Catapult dancers work behind a screen to create dancing shadow silhouettes of shapes from the world around us. The dancers morph into a mountain, a full size elephant, a helicopter, a house with a window and people inside. Fairyfest at Adkins Aboretum

Bring your wings for a day of magic! Follow a trail of fairy houses along enchanted forest paths, hunt for gnomes in the Funshine Garden, and join in a meadow maypole dance. Natural materials will be on hand for making an array of magical crafts. Shimmering face painting, archery, a dragon tram, and games are part of the fun. Live entertainment includes performances by Shore Shakespeare and the Sammati Dance Troupe. Unicorn rides by Snapdragon Stables, fairy accessories, and refreshments—including ice cream from Nice Farms Creamery—will be available for an additional fee. $10/person. Wicomico County’s Autumn Wine Festival

Taste samples from different Maryland wineries. Hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. each day. The Autumn Wine Festival has also partnered with Women Supporting Women, a local nonprofit that strives to provide awareness, education and support to those affected by breast cancer. Women Supporting Women will be on-site all weekend hosting a variety of fundraisers under the Pink Party Tent. The festival also features live music, regional cuisine, vendors and a Sports Zone. Mactoberfest
