What’s Happening in July on Delmarva

As we continue to adhere to the necessary guidelines to avoid spreading COVID-19, summer events look a little different but there are still some opportunities to enjoy art, food and local culture from bay to beach.

Worcester County Art League Second Friday Reception
July 10

WCAC continued its tradition of Second Friday Receptions at the Gallery displaying various media artwork created by our Gallery Co-Op artists and each month showcasing an exhibit of two featured member artists.

Caroline County Council of Arts Second Saturday at the Artsway
Join Foundry Artist Kurt Plinke on Saturday, July 11th, 2020 1-3 pm as he facilitates a Plein Air painting event. He will be there to answer questions and give feedback. This event is free, but registration is required to save your spot!

NOTE: Face masks and social distancing will be required! This event will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

The Artsway is located in downtown Denton. Demonstrations and activities from a variety of artists are typically held at The Foundry community arts gallery (401 Market St.), FACES (7 N. Fourth St.) and/or at the Community Demonstration Garden (behind FACES). We hope to see you there!

3rd Friday Returns to Salisbury
July 17, 5-8pm

3rd Friday is pleased to announce its return to Downtown Salisbury, with a socially-distanced, shopping-focused event The event will not feature live music, or additional activities, but will instead focus on providing retail opportunities for local artisans.  An online virtual event will also be held, for those who choose to stay safer at home, complete with artist highlights and messages from the community.

This year, 3rd Friday will take place on N. Division Street from Camden Street by Mogan’s Oyster House down to Church Street by Cake Art, and also down one block of Main Street to Court Street, by the Post Office. Vendor booths will be distanced 10 feet apart, and hand sanitizing stations, as well as, handwash stations will be provided.  Facemasks are required, and visitors are asked to maintain 6 feet social distance whenever possible. Date Night in Denton
July 24, 6-9 pm

Come enjoy outdoor eating and entertainment in downtown Denton at the Community Garden Stage. Pick up specials that will be sold by the local eateries to eat alfresco to music performed by Reagan who was a crowd-pleaser at Summerfest. Social distancing will be maintained. This event is being hosted by Downtown Denton Main Street. It is free and all ages are welcome!
